Come to our Annual General Meeting to be held on Tuesday 2 May from 6pm downstairs in the Atrium at the Astor Hotel, Pulteney Street. Come along and hear a couple of brief reports before our guest speaker, Toby Moen from Form Physiotherapy, delights us with more knowledge (think back to his talk about pain last year). We’ll provide some nibbles and one free drink and you can order a meal to enjoy while listening if you like. RSVP by marking yourself as “attending” the facebook event or if you don’t have facebook, contact us.
We look forward to seeing you there and showing you what Trail Running SA is all about.
AGM Formalities (including committee nominations)
Before we get into the fun stuff and hear from our guest speakers there will be a couple of formalities to get through. These shouldn’t take long!
Matters of general interest – any member of Trail Running SA may raise matters of general interest to the association at the meeting. If you have any motions for a change in the constitution, or in procedure, these will need to be submitted to the Secretary by Tuesday 25 April 2017.
Committee nominations – We would love to have you on our committee. We are always looking for extra committee members and no matter your background there’s plenty you can help out with. If you are interested in joining the committee please have a chat with one of the committee members listed below and feel free to come along to one of our monthly committee meetings to get a feel of what we do. If you decide to nominate for the committee please email the Secretary.
The below people have been nominated to positions on the committee. If no other nominations are received by Tuesday 25 April 2017, they will be considered to be elected at the AGM.

Committee positions we’d like to fill at the AGM:
We have our catering suppliers locked in for 2017 via Maurice who is happy to arrange our fruit and brownie orders but we need someone to liaise with him prior to each event to confirm the order, pick it up and arrange any associated equipment. We have also locked in catering providers who attend our events – the coffee van and Fancy Some Food? food truck but we’d like someone to stay in touch with them and reconfirm details prior to each event. You’ll also need to pass on all invoices to Claire for payment.
TRSA 2017 trail series organiser
After a very successful 2016 TRSA Series, we’re planning the same again and we’d like someone to look after the point allocations after each event. You’ll liaise with Robyn and Murray who take care of timing and registration related queries for each event and then maintain a spreadsheet so we can award series’ winners and other prizes at our end of year BBQ.
We need someone to help promote TRSA and all the awesome things we do! In particular, we’d love someone to write up event/race reports and submit them for publication to magazines etc. Murray takes care of all things Facebook in terms of publicity but we’d someone to come up with new avenues and help us feature wherever possible.
In the event that there are more nominations than positions to be filled, we will hold an election at the AGM.
If you don’t want to commit to the committee but are interested in what goes on at these meetings, never fear, any member of TRSA may subsequently attend a committee meeting as an observer.
Reports – what would an AGM be without an overview to how Trail Running SA has been going over the past year! We will share a few reports with you on the night, feel free to ask any questions and help keep us accountable.
