Anstey Hill – Bursaria Loop to ruins – 5.3km
Wednesday 21st April
This hike is the third of four school holiday TRSA kids’ hikes for you and your family to enjoy.
The hike begins from a carpark inside of Gate 18 on Range Road South, Houghton. https://goo.gl/maps/HiY3fY8QQceKrxax8
We will hike from the carpark to the start of Bursaria Loop and follow this lovely trail until we reach the top of Newman’s Track. We will then hike down to explore Newman’s Nursery Ruins and then challenge ourselves by climbing Torture Hill before making our way back to the carpark.
This night hikes require kids (and adults) to have headlights/torches, and we recommend bringing warm clothes and water as well. This hike is suitable for kids of all ages who are capable of walking roughly 5km and who love a little bit of adventure. We also encourage any adults without kids to come too. All kids attending must have a supervising adult, who is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of their kids. Please note the trails are not suitable for prams, and we would appreciate people leaving dogs at home.
