Cleland to Belair – 26km course
The third and final official training runs for the Five Peaks 58km course, and the entirety of the 26km course.
Interested in trying out the 8km or 12km courses instead?
Given that the training run ends at Belair National Park where refreshments will be offered again by the lovely Mal and Merry, we encourage runners interested in trying out the 8km and 12km courses within Belair National Park to join us on the day. Meet at Main Oval in Belair National Park for an 8am start.
Note:
- This training run will be the entirety of the 26km course, starting on Long Ridge in Cleland and finishing at Main Oval, Belair National Park
- The 58km course intersects with the 26km course at a later point in Cleland CP than in previous years. Therefore, this training run will include some trail (Perimeter Loop), which 58km runners will NOT run on the event day.
For the 26km run, meet at Belair Country Club carpark at 6:15 am in order to car pool to Cleland Wildlife Park car park for a 7:00 a.m start, and check-in before we start running. At Cleland, we will have the top gate open from 6:30 am to allow access down to the carpark.
For the 8km and 12km courses, please head to the Belair Country Club car park in the first instance, or if that is full, head in to the Belair main entrance, as we have arranged free entry to Belair National Park. The runs will start from Main Oval.
None of the courses will be marked for this social run so you’ll need to download the Guru app and the relevant gpx file below so you can navigate your way along the courses.
Once again, Mal and Merry will be waiting for you at the end with a COVID safe selection of drinks and snacks, which they supply at their own cost. These two are dedicated volunteers who love to cater the training runs to encourage runners to stick around afterwards and have a chat. TRSA does not supply this so please say thank you to Mal and Merry and show your appreciation.
