Let’s run, eat and celebrate!
It’s safe to say 2020 has not been the year anyone planned, but thankfully we’ve managed to have some fun on the trails nonetheless. We’re keen to celebrate the year that was with our community on Sunday 15 November at Belair National Park.
We have booked the Karka Pavilion and picnic ground for the day and we have covered entry to Belair National Park (just say you’re with TRSA at the park entrance office).
We have decided to combine this event with the first Five Peaks training runs so we’ll have three social run options, albeit modified to start and end at Karka Pavilion. The following three social runs will leave from there at 8am:
- Five Peaks 8km course from Karka Pavilion (14 km)
- Five Peaks 12km course from Karka Pavilion (18 km)
Or for a trip down memory lane,
- The TRSA V4 Series Belair long course modified from Karka Pavilion (19 km)
See below to download the GPX file for the course you’d like to run as they won’t be marked on the day.
Eating and catching up
You’re very welcome to join us just for the post-run catch-up from 11am and we encourage you to bring picnic chairs, rugs, drinks, games, children, and dogs as we’ve got plenty of space to spread out and relax. In addition to finding a shady spot under one of the large trees, you’re welcome to bring a shelter, but note we’re not allowed to put pegs into the lawn so please bring another type of method to secure it!
There are toilets and drinking water available at Karka Pavilion and John from The Coffee Run will be on site with his coffee van from 9:30am.
We have also arranged a fantastic catered lunch supplied by Anthony who is bringing his South African inspired food truck, Afri-disiac. Lunch will be from midday for all those who have pre-ordered a meal. We will provide you with a token to exchange for the meal(s) you have ordered.
Celebrating the 2020 TRSA year
We’re planning a celebration of the TRSA V4 Series, Vert Challenge, Five Peaks virtual event, the events we’ve managed to hold, the SA Five 50’s runners, and to thank our wonderful volunteers from 1:30pm.
We look forward to celebrating another fantastic year for Trail Running SA and our community.
