Let’s run, eat and celebrate!
It’s safe to say 2020 has not been the year anyone planned, but thankfully we’ve managed to have some fun on the trails nonetheless. We’re keen to celebrate the year that was with our community on Sunday 15 November at Belair National Park.
We have booked the Karka Pavilion and picnic ground for the day and we have covered entry to Belair National Park (just say you’re with TRSA).
We have decided to combine this event with the first Five Peaks training runs so we’ll have three social run options leaving from Karka Pavilion at 8am:
- Five Peaks 8km course
- Five Peaks 12km course
Or for a trip down memory lane,
- The 21km TRSA V4 Series Belair long course
See below to download the GPX file for the course you’d like to run as they won’t be marked on the day.
You’re very welcome to join us just for the post-run catch-up from 11am and we encourage you to bring picnic chairs, rugs, drinks, games, children, and dogs as we’ve got plenty of space to spread out and relax.
We have also arranged a fantastic catered lunch supplied by Anthony who is bringing his South African inspired food truck, Afri-disiac. Lunch will be from midday and the following three options are available at a subsidised cost of $10 per meal. All meals must be pre-ordered at the Registration link above by 5pm on Wednesday 11 November:
- Chakalaka Fried Chicken Burger – Crumbed Spicy Chicken Patty, slaw, chakalaka relish, cheese with potato wedges.
- North African Tasting Plate (Vegan) – Assorted dips, flat bread, falafel, sambuus (Somali samosa) and couscous salad.
- Boerewors Beef Burger – South African sausage spiced patty, slaw, caramelised onion relish, cheese with potato wedges.
It is very important that you register and pay by this date so that Anthony can plan accordingly. Even if you’re not planning to eat, please register (at no cost) via the same link so we can get an idea of numbers.
Celebrating the 2020 TRSA year
We’re planning a celebration of the TRSA V4 Series, Vert Challenge, Five Peaks virtual event, the events we’ve managed to hold, and to thank our wonderful volunteers from 1:30pm.
We look forward to celebrating another fantastic year for Trail Running SA and our community.
