Date: Wed, 18 September 2019
Come and join us upstairs at The Astor on Pulteney St from 6pm on Wednesday 18 September and we promise you’ll go home armed with some new knowledge and running plans. A great chance to catch up with fellow trail runners in a relaxed, friendly setting.
We’ve lined up two fantastic speakers for the night:
Tom May is a Podiatrist who currently works at the Biomechanics Lab, on Kensington Road in Norwood. He has a passion for Sports Podiatry and providing both recreational and elite athletes a pathway back to pain-free movement, and ultimately, a return to sport. He has extensive experience in private practice and is the current podiatrist for Adelaide Football Club. Tom will be coming to talk to runners of all ages and experience about footwear considerations, whether it be for running on the trails, on the road or otherwise.
Mick Keyte is an Adelaide-based La Sportiva trail runner who makes a habit of finding races with elevation profiles to make Mount Lofty look like a bump in the road. Recently returned from the epic Ultra Lavaredo (120km, 5600m of vert) in the Italian Dolomites, Mick is going to talk about his training leading up to the race, nutrition planning, the race itself, and travelling and running around the Dolomites after the race. There will also be photos. Lots of photos guaranteed to inspire you to start planning your next epic trail running adventure.
Please RSVP via this Google Form so we can organise sufficient catering.
