TRSA Australia Day Social Run 2023

TRSA Australia Day Social Run 2023

Date: Thu, 26 January 2023

Join us for the annual TRSA Australia Day social run along the Marion Coastal Trail.

Meeting time and place: 7:00am* at Brighton Jetty

This is a social run and the course will not be marked but is very straight forward to follow, including the diversion onto surrounding streets where the stairs are blocked off. Go at your own pace and turn around whenever suits.

* If the forecast is for a very hot day, we may change the start time to 6am in order to beat the heat. Keep an eye on social media for any changes.

Route notes:

Start from Brighton Jetty at 7:00am and follow the esplanade path southwards. After 2.5 kms this becomes the Marion Coastal Walking Trail (signposted).

The trail continues for another 5.5 kms along the coast with one major marked diversion onto surrounding streets, down to the famous geological features at Hallett Cove Conservation Park. Turn around here at the Boatshed Cafe and head back to Brighton Jetty. There are toilets and drinking fountains along the way.

Following the run, we encourage you to BYO some breakfast snacks and we’ll find a spot on the beach for a swim, coffee and catch up after the run. Again, we’ll update further information on social media in the lead up so please keep your eye out. See you there!

Five Peaks Training Run #3 2023: Cleland to Belair & Belair courses

Five Peaks Training Run #3 2023: Cleland to Belair & Belair courses

Date: Sun, 12 March 2023

Cleland to Belair – 26km course

The third and final official training runs for the Five Peaks 58km course, and the entirety of the 26km course.

Note:

  • This training run will be the entirety of the 26km course, starting on Long Ridge in Cleland and finishing at Main Oval, Belair National Park
  • The 58km course intersects with the 26km course at a later point in Cleland CP than in previous years. Therefore, this training run will include some trail (Perimeter Loop), which 58km runners will NOT run on the event day.

For the 26km run, meet at Belair Country Club carpark at 6:15 am in order to car pool to Cleland Wildlife Park car park for a 7:00 a.m start, and check-in before we start running. At Cleland, we will have the top gate open from 6:30 am to allow access down to the carpark.

None of the courses will be marked for this social run so you’ll need to download the Guru app and the relevant gpx file below so you can navigate your way along the courses.

GETTING THERE

  • Click here for directions in Google maps to Belair National Park main entrance or Country Club car park entrance. We are relying on people to car pool so please head to Belair and co-ordinate rides to Cleland from there.
