Tips and tricks to get the most out of running the trails, with our experienced coaches and instructors.
If you’d like to learn to run on trails and meet other like-minded people, why not attend one of our clinics and get started?
TRSA member, ultra runner, and outdoor educator, Paul Bulley will take you on some lovely loops around Rocky Creek.
Paul started racing around 10 years ago and has some pretty handy races under his belt including most recently the Unreasonable East 200 miler in Cairns. Don’t be scared by that, he just loves getting people out on the trails.
Paul’s also asked some very experienced runners to help, so that we can keep a good ratio of instructors to participants.
The session will be practical and you’ll be able to ask all the questions you need as you enjoy the beautiful trails of Kuitpo Forest.
These clinics are for the novice and aspiring trail runners out there. Non-members are welcome to join in.

Poles have gained popularity among trail runners including some of our members. Regular users say they provide increased stability, improved balance, and reduced stress on joints.
If you’re curious about whether poles are for you, or if you’d like to make sure you are getting the best out of your hiking poles, local trail running legend, coach and TRSA member, Mick Keyte, is here to help.
If you haven’t met Mick before, he’s got a load of marathon and ironman racing under his belt and has competed in trail races all around the world.
In a practical session, he’ll talk about technique, pole sizing and proper placement on rugged terrain. Plus you’ll get some tips on purchasing the most suitable poles.
