This run leaves from Brighton Beach and travels along the coastline and the Marion Coastal Walkway to Hallett Cove and return. It consists of bitumen/pavers, boardwalk, stairs, trails, and a couple of cool suspension bridges. It’s an annual tradition on this public holiday for many club members.
Monday January 27th, 6.50 am for a 7.00 am start (not Sunday the 26th).
Brighton to Hallett Cove and return
Start the Monday public holiday the right way! Meet at the monument at Brighton Jetty. Go your own pace all the way to Hallett Cove or turn around when you’re ready. You can expect beautiful views along the coast, stop for a hug in the hug-zone and check out those amazing new suspension bridges. On return, cool off with a plunge at Brighton Beach.
Coffee: Grab a coffee or cool drink after your run at the Esplanade Hotel or one of the many cafes on Jetty Road.
Pace: Up to you – run hard, easy jog or leisurely walk.
Run leaders: Claire Sims and Doug Smart.
Gear: minimal. There are a few water fountains along the way but if it’s hot you might want to carry water and sunblock.
Closure: The run will not proceed on catastrophic fire days. The start time may be changed in the event of high temperatures – please check the FaceBook pages.
Information: All details posted on TRSA Facebook pages.
Location: Arch of Remembrance, Brighton Jetty on the Esplanade.
