The second of three official training runs for the Five Peaks 58km course.
This training run is the second section of the 58 km course – approximately 17km from Norton Summit to Cleland Wildlife Centre carpark.
- The course down from Mount Lofty has changed from previous years and now heads down via the Steub trail, rather than the main Mount Lofty/Waterfall Gully trail
- The course for the training run is slightly modified at the very end from the actual event course so that we finish at Cleland Wildlife Centre carpark
Meet at Cleland Wildlife Park carpark at 6:30 am in order to car pool to Norton Summit for a 7:00 a.m start, and check-in before we start running. We will have the top gate open from 6:00 am to allow access down to the carpark.
The course won’t be marked for this social run so you’ll need to download the Guru app and the gpx file below so you can navigate your way along the course.
Once again, Mal and Merry will be waiting for you at the end with a COVID safe selection of drinks and snacks, which they supply at their own cost. These two are dedicated volunteers who love to cater the training runs to encourage runners to stick around afterwards and have a chat. TRSA does not supply this so please say thank you to Mal and Merry and show your appreciation.
- Click here for directions in Google maps to Cleland Wildlife Park carpark. We are relying on people to car pool so please head to Cleland and co-ordinate rides to Norton Summit from there.

Please DO NOT park in the Scenic Hotel carpark, the church car park, or the community centre car park as these will all be in use on the Sunday morning. Instead, please park along Crescent Drive, entering at the community centre end and exiting at the other end to minimise congestion and the impact on other people in the area on Sunday morning.
