Four well-connected parks, linked by trails. Prominent features of the reserves include Woorabinda Lake, Aldgate Creek, trails through tall stringybark forests, open woodland, and reedbeds. The route continues to Heathfield through to Mark Oliphant Conservation Park and return. Waterfall Trail off of Evans Drive was recently closed for maintenance. This means Thornbill Track may need to be accessed by carefully proceeding down Scott Creek Road instead. Please also cross the railway line near Hender Road with extreme care.

The reserves are four well-connected parks, linked by trails. Prominent features of the reserves include Woorabinda Lake, Aldgate Creek, trails through tall stringybark forests, open woodland, and reedbeds. The reserves are a quiet oasis, where the cacophony of birds or frogs overpower any traffic sounds. Looking at a map, you might well think you would see lots of houses and roads, but this is not the case, the park and connecting trails are lush corridors of vegetation.
The area around Woorabinda Lake is a highlight, with a shaded path circling the lake passing reed beds, picnic benches, boardwalks and a bird hide.
South Australia’s largest not-for-profit, community-based trail running organisation.
